潛逃英國的軍情局中尉葉玫何時遣返，傳出許多日期版本。現在確定在台北時間18日晚間遭英國政府遣返回國，預計今(19)日下午2時10分抵達桃園國際機場。英國官員全程陪同，並將在機場交人，由台中地檢署人員帶回偵訊。

從去(2013)年12月10日被英國移民署逮捕後，就不斷傳出葉玫將被遣返，從12底至今年2月，陸續傳出至少4個版本的返台日期，最近一次則是傳出將在18日遣返，對此，外交部不透露半點口風，不願公開證實葉玫確切遣返日期。外交部官員表示，在「適當時機」會對外說明。

據了解，葉玫在英國1年多時間在非政府組織擔任口譯志工，結交許多朋友，自從葉玫遭英國逮捕後，這些朋友一直四處為她奔走，因此台英兩國政府部門都低調行事，希望將此事件單純化，以順利遣返。

今年34歲的葉玫，101年6月底赴泰國旅遊時，「逃官」至英國遭到通緝並註銷護照。從被通緝到返國，葉玫一共逃亡國外超過560天。軍方指出，葉玫觸犯陸海空軍刑法第39條「意圖長期脫免職役職責」罪嫌，將面對五年以下刑責。
