（軍聞社記者周昇煒臺北廿四日電）國防部副部長嚴德發上將今天出席國防醫學院建校112週年院慶大會，對該院長期培育國軍優秀醫護人才，推動國軍醫療工作的進步與發展表達肯定，並期勉全院師生傳承優良國醫傳統，將所學貢獻國軍與社會。

　嚴副部長上午在軍醫局局長張德明中將等人陪同下出席院慶大會，他在致詞時指出，國防醫學院秉持「團隊」與「利他」精神，稱職扮演醫療照護與衛勤整備的中堅角色，並直接、間接地帶動臺灣醫療衛生的進步，名副其實是一所具備百年優秀傳承的「國家級」醫學院。

　院慶大會也邀請在肝炎的研究領域中學有專精、享譽國際的臺大醫學院教授陳定信院士，以「從病毒性肝炎看醫學研究」進行專題講演，陳院士以深入淺出的方式描述肝炎的症狀與疫苗的發展，配合個人的專業經驗與研究歷程，讓與會人員獲益良多。

　此外，國防醫學院院長司徒惠康少將也在典禮中，頒獎表揚各類績優獎項，嘉勉獲獎師生及校友們在各自領域上的傑出表現，並期勉全體師生應發揮集體的智慧與勇氣，再創國防醫學院新猷。
