【羅惠齡／綜合報導】無緣今年世界大賽冠軍的紅雀積極補強，以4年5300萬美元(約15.68億台幣)合約，網羅明星游擊手佩若塔(Jhonny Peralta)。
 
佩若塔生涯兩次入選大聯盟明星賽，分別待過印地安人與老虎，11年大聯盟生涯共156轟、697分打點，平均打擊率2成68，今年在老虎，因涉入禁藥風暴，遭大聯盟禁賽50場。
