Verify that if an integer is simultaneously a square and a cube, then it must be either of the form 7k or 7k+1.
這題我想了很久卻不知如何出發

若該數為 7 的倍數,則顯然為 7k 型。
若該數不為 7 的倍數,設該數為 m³ = n² (m、n為正整數) , 則 m√m = n ,
得 √m = n/m 為有理數, 故 m 必為平方數。
可令 m = a² (k為正整數) , 則該數為 a⁶ 不為 7 的倍數 , 從而 a 亦不為 7 的倍數。
由費馬小定理 , a⁶ ≡ 1 (mod 7) , 即該數為 7k+1 型。
綜上得證。
