不過中華隊就算是連贏美、韓，也得靠日本今勝古巴、明勝美國，全勝拿下複賽第1，而古巴明又擊敗委內瑞拉，形成台、美、古都是3勝2敗，戰績相同，對戰互咬的局面，爭取複賽第2晉級冠軍賽。

若上述情況成立，3隊就要比較對戰優質率(Team Quality Balance)，目前古巴對台、美比賽都已結束，就要看現在台、美戰結果，中華隊必須要贏美國2分，才能取得3隊對戰優質率領先，一旦遇上3隊戰績相同，中華隊就能以較佳的對戰優質率拿下複賽第2，與日本爭冠。
