洛杉磯兩支MLB球隊，教頭命運大不同。道奇隊6月底開始谷底大反彈，保住教頭Don Mattingly烏紗帽，但天使隊戰績一直未見起色，傳出總教練Mike Scioscia、或是總經理Jerry Dipoto，兩人之一要被炒魷魚。
這項消息來自FoxSports.com，由於Sciosscia、Dipoto兩人「治軍哲學」不同，因此球團才會叫其中一人走路。
Scioscia否認這個說法，他認為跟總經理之間，沒有那麼多的恩怨情仇。唯一令教頭不能接受的，只有去年5月時，天使隊開除打擊教練Mickey Hatcher，關於那個決定，Scioscia跟Dipoto意見相左。
不過，Scioscia強調，那件事情就是「唯一一次」，而且他跟Dipoto都已經走出那件事，沒有留下芥蒂。
「不可能所有事情都意見一致，」Scioscia說，「偶爾意見不同是正常的，那就透過討論解決。」 (接下一頁)
