繼東印度毒午餐事件造成23名學童枉死，印度又發生營養午餐又出包，造成35名學童食物中毒，所幸均無生命危險。
印度新聞信託社（Press Trust of India）報導，馬德雅省（Madhya Pradesh）巴拉加特（Balaghat）縣班迪（Bhandi）村的公立學校至少有35名5到10歲學生，26日吃下學校午餐後集體送醫住院，所幸送醫後無大礙。
當天的午餐是「炒扁米飯」（poha），學童吃下後集體胃痛和嘔吐，經送縣立醫院急救，已全數脫離險境。學生反應，當天午餐「有烟草味」。當地教育官員趕到學校，採取食物和飲水樣本進行化驗，正等待結果出爐以確定病因。
東印比哈省（Bihar）薩蘭（Saran）縣1所公立小學提供的免費午餐出問題，16日造成23名學童死亡，相關檢體後來被驗出含高毒性有機磷殺蟲劑。
悲劇發生後，包括比哈省政府在內，許多印度地方政府要求教師先試吃午餐。不過，這項政策遭比哈省小學教師協會杯葛
