陶喆６日因排定海外工作，婉拒擔任金曲頒獎人，２日先赴金曲音樂節還債，原預計演唱７首歌擔任首日壓軸，表演卻因突來的大雷雨被迫取消，隨後改辦簽名會安慰失望歌迷。今年看好誰稱王？他坦言：「我從不預測，以往曾對評審所選跌破眼鏡。」也反問，唱得好壞如何定義？他上張專輯獲男歌手獎，未來想拿專輯和製作人獎。

他近來忙於宣傳專輯和巡演，明年轉戰電影，不同於周杰倫、王力宏的自導自演，他說自己只導戲：「我演得不好，且沒受過訓練，演員一定要受過專業訓練。」目前仍在寫腳本。他昨在種子唱片攤位發送相思豆，炒熱金曲音樂節氣氛，該活動斥1400萬元，共有40場講座、演唱、簽名會，及50家業者設攤，訴求「新的好音樂」，２至７日在華山文創園區舉行，可洽官網查詢。
