Thomson Reuters旗下基金資料統計公司Lipper 23日公佈，截至5月22日當週美國境內的日本股市基金淨吸金15.1億美元，為連續第27週呈現淨流入、創史上最長紀錄。統計顯示，今年4月日本股市基金/ETF淨吸金91億美元。目前，美國境內的國際共同基金平均有17.1%的資產是以日圓計價。

晨星統計顯示，TCW國際小型股基金(資產規模為3,360萬美元)約有31.6%的資產是投入日本股市，較去年3月的16.4%呈現倍數增長。資產規模達11億美元的Wasatch國際成長基金的日股投資佔比自去年6月的7.1%跳升至15.5%。

日經225指數24日呈現劇烈震盪，盤中高低點相差1,025.98點，終場上漲0.89%(128.47點)，收14,612.45點。日經225指數甫於5月23日盤中(15,942.60點)創下2007年12月12日以來新高，隨後反轉下殺，截至24日盤中最低點(13,981.52點)為止總計下跌1,961.08點。
